WIRE EDM FILTERS
EDM Filters manufactured by Hoff Engineering, at our Michigan factory, have set the standard for cost efficiency and reliability in the North American market for twenty five years. The wire EDMs made by Mitsubishi, Sodick, Fanuc, Charmilles, and Makino have become faster and more powerful machine shop tools. More tool steel dirt is generated and higher pump pressures are achieved, increasing expectations for their wire EDM filters.
In the EDM world, the variety of materials machined has increased. Three micron, five micron, and ten micron filtration requirements have emerged. Hoff Engineering has developed new filter media to answer to the challenges of EDMing specific materials with new styles of Sodick EDM Filters, Mitsubishi EDM filters, Fanuc EDM filters, and Charmilles EDM filters.
Mitsubishi EDM in particular has aggressively pushed the variety of wire EDM options available to diverse market segments with its CX, FX, RA, QA, and Mitsubishi FA series machines. Hoff Engineering manufactures filters for all Mitsubishi EDMs, including in-tank style, quick disconnect fitting type, and sinker EDM filters.
Ebbco has cut a distinct niche market in the world of auxiliary filtration systems for wire EDMs. Hoff Engineering has long been the largest non O.E. manufacturer of filters for the Ebbco Hurricane Filtration Systems.
The EDM consumables market is larger than just filters of course. It is tempting to feel that operating in this market requires more than a selection of Mitsubishi wire EDM filters, Fanuc wire EDM filters, Sodick wire EDM filters, Charmilles wire EDM filters, and/or Makino wire EDM filters. But Hoff Engineering has stay focused on the filtration requirements of those wire EDMs. We continue to design and manufacture lower cost EDM filters that provide exceptional deionized water cleanliness and service life equivalent to the best original equipment filters.
