So, we offer budget-conscious cartridge design, quick turnaround on prototypes, up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in the Fibers Technologies, decades of pleating production experience with cellulose, synthetic, and multi-layer configurations, and numerous company patents that enable proprietary solutions.
Our design team prides itself on providing quick and innovative solutions for hard-to-solve industrial filter applications. We have complete in-house engineering services including filter design, prototyping, manufacturing, and filter testing for projects of all sizes and complexities (concept-to-reality). Our experienced product development team uses state-of-the-art engineering tools including silicone reverse-molding, CAD (Inventor), solid modeling, rapid prototyping, and 3D printing.
Working with our customers and our vendors, Hoff Engineering develops proprietary filter media, custom element construction, and job specific housing designs to optimize filter performance. Hoff Engineering has long formed strategic alliances with many of the top filtration industry suppliers that manufacture media, end cap and support component materials, and adhesives. This provides timely access to new and emerging technologies. Our rapid growth has been fueled largely by referrals and working closely with our vendors and customers.
Our complete filter development lab performs both flat sheet and complete element tests for air and liquid applications. Test fluids include fuels, hydraulic and dielectric oils, coolants, and deionized water.
In recent years, Hoff Engineering has become proficient in the rolling, forming, machining, and welding of stainless steel.
The launch of a successful filter product lines will always demand manufacturing proficiency utilizing state-of-the-art production equipment. In-house capabilities include: pleating, machining, welding of cold roll and stainless steel(s), painting and coating, injection molding, mold making, urethane potting, media slitting, curing, rolling, metal-spinning, plastic core manufacture, side-seaming, hot melt gluing, epoxy potting, urethane potting, production 3D printing, vessel and canister manufacture.
We have decades of production pleating know-how. We pleat cellulosic and synthetic sheets, wire cloth, fiberglass, and multi-layer configurations thereof. Using a variety of proprietary techniques, we can process both very stiff media and hold extremely close pleat height tolerances that other filter firms have found impossible to do. Hoff Engineering has the largest industrial pleating capacity in the Midwest. Our six pleaters have pleat heights ranging from .125” to 2.125”. They accept filter media in rolls up to 40” wide. We welcome contract pleating work.
